Posture

Physical therapist use a variety of treatment modalities and skills to help your child stand up straighter and stronger with more confidence. We assess your child from multiple planes to see how each of their limbs and spinal joints coordination movement. If one area has extra mobility or another area has less mobility, it can affect the fluidity of movement throughout their whole body. Our job is to look at reciprocal movements and promote muscle activation in stable alignment. After all play requires all degrees of movement. Typical alignment areas addressed are: head alignment, spinal curves, trunk alignment, rounded shoulders, rotated hips, inward feet, etc.
