I am passionate about helping all children to communicate. I use a total communication approach which allows children to express themselves using any modality, whether it is with verbal words, sign language, visual communication systems, or speech-generating devices.
Areas of Expertise: I have had multiple opportunities to work with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of communication disorders. I have experience working in pediatric teams of Speech, Occupational, and Physical therapists, and I believe in the importance of collaborating across disciplines. I have expertise in receptive and expressive language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), apraxia, articulation, phonology, and fluency.
Education/Certification: I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Spanish from the University of St. Thomas and a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from St. Cloud State University. I hold my Certificate of Clinical Competency through the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA).
