I have always loved working with kids and find so much fulfillment helping kids reach their potential. When possible, I use a play-based approach to target important, and sometimes tricky, life skills through fun and engaging methods. I find collaboration with the clients, their caregivers, and other professionals on their team important to help kids learn the skills they need to be successful in a variety of environments.
Areas of Expertise: I have experience working with children ages 2-16 years old, primarily with diagnoses of autism, developmental delays and ADHD, as well as lack of coordination, and delayed milestones in childhood.
Education: I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine and a Masters degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from the Universidad de Alcala in Spain. I received a Master of Occupational Therapy degree from the University of Minnesota.
Specialized Training: I am trained in craniosacral therapy (CST-1) from the Upledger Institute. I have training and experience in ABA therapy principles. I have attended courses on a variety of topics, including handwriting, executive functioning, and core strengthening.
