Speech Therapy
Speech and language therapy is the treatment of disorders associated with sound production and receptive/expressive language. Speech and language pathologists work with children to comprehend and communicate effectively both verbally and non-verbally.
Clients at MPTC participate in speech-language therapy with specific goals written for/with parents (and with school input when appropriate). In addition to working closely with parents, our speech-language pathologists work closely with our occupational therapists for optimum treatment results. We provide quarterly or monthly consultation to update home program plans that are implemented by family members or another speech-language pathologist. We value our relationship with parents and caregivers and strive to meet every child's potential through individualized treatment goals.
